We are pleased to present our appartment “Chapitre” in the Prieuré Saint Martial!
The name of this appartment is “Chapitre“, which means chapter in English. In a convent, the chapter (or chapter house) is the place where the monks or nuns gather to pray, talk about their different issues and make important decisions. It is true that the appartment had this name long before our time. But for us, the name has a symbolic value, because with its acquisition, a new chapter in our lives has begun and thus, one more link to our beloved South of France has been created.
Our appartment “Chapitre” is a 55 sqm studio or loft consisting of a single, large room in which a living room with an open fireplace, a kitchenette and a sleeping area are integrated. The sleeping area can be separated from the living room and the kitchen by a curtain. The view from the sleeping area and the bathroom through the large windows towards the pool and the vineyards is really lovely.
The appartment has air conditioning and due to the open design, the room temperature can be regulated very well in the living area as well as in the sleeping area.
The bathroom was completely renovated in 2024 and equipped with a walk-in shower. In addition, the previously fixed window in the bedroom was replaced with a glass door leading to a balcony, which was also newly added.
For your comfort, there are a washing machine and dishwasher, bed linen, shower towels and hand towels, a hairdryer, tea towels, an apron and potholders. Internet access (WiFi) is available free of charge and an internet-enabled TV allows you to watch not only French but also German or English TV through various apps.
The apartment is freshly renovated and has also a small front garden for private use – equipped of course with cosy garden furniture as well as a gas barbecue (plancha).
The large, lovely park, both swimming pools as well as sufficient parking spaces are available for all residents and their guests.
The apartment is ideal for 2 persons. However, it should be noted that smoking is forbidden in the apartment and pets are not allowed in the whole resort, since this is a place of calm and relaxation.
